Shoulder Pain
When most people think of shoulder pain, they usually think of the rotator cuff. While the rotator cuff is a common cause of shoulder pain, there are many factors and other structures that can be involved. Imaging of the shoulder may also not be 100% reliable in terms of what is causing your pain. Many people with no pain, if given an MRI, would show rotator cuff tears and other imperfections in the structures of the shoulder. It is important to match the symptoms of your pain with any imaging that may have been done and determine if that is actually what is giving you pain. Our soft tissue techniques and rehab allow us to assess the shoulder and treat it effectively.
Golfer’s Elbow/Tennis Elbow
These terms refer to medial and lateral epicondylitis. Repetitive stress to the muscles and tendons of the forearm will cause pain to the inside (medial) or outside (lateral) of the elbow. Jobs that require repetitive grabbing or squeezing are most likely to create this problem, as well as recreational activities.
Carpal Tunnel
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a nerve condition caused by compression of the median nerve at the transverse carpal ligament. Pain, numbness, and/or tingling are typical symptoms in the first three fingers of the hand. This is often caused by repetitive use of the hands. Our muscle therapies are great treatment options for carpal tunnel syndrome.
