Head, Face, & Neck

Headache

There are a number of types of headaches, ranging from tension headaches to migraines and many more. Most types of headaches respond well to chiropractic care, in addition to the other techniques we offer. Two of the most common reasons people get headaches are due to muscle tension/imbalance and joint restriction/inflammation. We can help you address the postural issues that lead to these problems.

TMJ/Jaw Pain

The temporomandibular joint, or TMJ, is a common problem for many people. Clicking or popping in your jaw, as well as pain in the jaw, are the common symptoms. Headaches are also common from TMJ dysfunction. Treatment is often co-managed between dentists and chiropractors or physical therapists. The TMJ is a joint, just like other joints in your body, and unless you have proper joint movement and muscle balance around it, this will lead to problems.

Neck Pain

Neck pain, like low back pain, usually responds really well to conservative care. And most cases do not involve pathology requiring more invasive treatment. Once we determine what is causing the pain, we develop a plan to address it. Treatment with chiropractic care on the neck is both safe and effective. It is the best initial treatment option to determine what the problem is and then effectively treat the problem.

Whiplash

Also referred to as acceleration/deceleration injuries, whiplash is often caused from auto accidents, but can result from any trauma that causes a person’s head to move back and forth rapidly. Ligament and/or muscles damage can occur, as well as joint inflammation and dysfunction. Providing therapies to aid in healing and restoring normal joint movement are essential to fully recovering from these accidents.
